A Scale Maps — Lap Steel

A under the bar in 24 scale types: open one to see which of the six strings carry it, at which fret.

All 24 scale types this site maps, rooted on A and drawn for the Lap Steel: the majors and minors, the pentatonic and blues shapes, the modes, and the symmetric and world families.

Every map marks the root wherever it appears. On the lap steel's six strings in C6 the same note turns up on more than one string at the same fret, and the map is what tells the bar which one to use.
