Progressions in A — Lap Steel

Every chord the key of A owns, placed on the lap steel's six strings in C6.

A major harmonises to A – Bm – C#m – D – E – F#m – G#°; A minor to Am – B° – C – Dm – Em – F – G. Each chord links to its Lap Steel page, so a key becomes a short list of places for the bar.

On a lap steel the chords of a key are fret distances: the tuning spells one chord open, and every other chord in the key is somewhere the bar can slide to — or a slant, or not there at all.
