Progressions — E9 Pedal Steel

Pick a key — its chords arrive as bar positions on the E9 neck's ten strings.

Every key's diatonic chords, placed on the E9 Pedal Steel. Pick a key below and its chord family arrives on the E9 neck's ten strings, ready to play behind a singer or under a melody.

A key on a steel is worth learning as a set of bar positions rather than a list of names: the open tuning spells one chord, and the rest sit at fixed fret distances from it.
