A Scale Maps — E9 Pedal Steel

A under the bar in 24 scale types: open one to see which of the ten strings carry it, at which fret.

All 24 scale types this site maps, rooted on A and drawn for the E9 Pedal Steel: the majors and minors, the pentatonic and blues shapes, the modes, and the symmetric and world families.

Every map marks the root wherever it appears. On the E9 neck's ten strings the same note turns up on more than one string at the same fret, and the map is what tells the bar which one to use.
