Exercises — C6 Pedal Steel
Daily drills generated from the C6 neck — hear each one, then play it even.
Short, repeatable drills with tab and playback, generated from the C6 Pedal Steel's own open strings: an evenness drill for the picking hand, the major chord three adjacent open strings already spell carried by a straight bar to the IV, the V and the octave, and a major scale up one string with the bar landing over each wire. Nothing here is transcribed — each drill is computed from this instrument's open pitches, and none engages a pedal or a lever.
Play them with every pedal up first. A pedal changes what the bar sounds, not where it goes, so a bar that lands true with the pedals up lands true with them down.
